And What Are Your Last Words…?
-
Don’t worry about the title of this post, ok! I haven’t lost my positive attitude or suddenly felt the urge to write about somebody on their death bed.
Actually, it’s a lot less dramatic a much lighter than that. I am writing this post to point out a stubborn issue that is often coming up when people mean well, but then don’t take into account the law of attraction’s rules when they state their desires.
Here’s an example: Let’s go and have an anti-war rally. HMMM. That may sound like a pacifist thing to do, but one of the main reasons we still even have wars in this day and age is the fact that we keep mulling them over in our mind so much.
I think it was none other than Mother Theresa who said: I won’t be joining the anti war rally, but let me know when you have a peace rally and I’ll be first in line.
That really illustrates my point very well. Do not look and articulate the events or issues that you DO NOT want or the law of attraction will find a way to bring them to you.
Here is another favorite of mine: “Breast Cancer Awareness month….or the fight to end breast cancer.”
Well, of course I agree with most people out there that breast cancer is a terrible thing. But, as the title of this post says very clearly: what are the last words in this sentence….?
Correct, you got it: “Breast Cancer”
It is a never ending fight because the awareness of it will create more of it just like the charity to help the poor will somehow NEVER run out of finding poor people to help.
Turning this around is a very simple task that can form a habit and yield wonderful dividends for yourself. Next time you are becoming aware of a negative issue that bugs you, try and state it in the opposite and make that statement an affirmation.
Going back to the anti war really you could say: I allow peace and harmony into my life now. And instead find a cause that gets it right. Again, fighting pretty much anything will just bring you more of that sentiment, namely more fighting and more struggle.
Let me conclude this post with an observation from the words in the McCain speech. Although I am not a GOP supporter at all, he has done a pretty decent job at moving the audience with his war stories. But here is the catch: Since McCain is thinking in terms of fighting for anything in life and in his political career, that is exactly what he gets - constant fighting for everything.
Whether it is his days as soldier or his “fight” for the nomination. So here is my final tip for you John McCain: Next time you sate that you “hate war” try saying ” I love peace and intend to bring peace and prosperity to the United States of America. It somehow worked for Barak Obama…

I agree totally.
I, for instance try to think positively as long as I could, whenever I could, because I have always subscribed to the concept of the laws of attraction. It’s actually a matter of getting into the habit. We have always been pre-conditioned since we were young to accept and absorb the words don’t, no, stop, never, etc. - it would take a lot of will power to remove it from our psyches.
But there is still hope. As I said it is a matter of getting used to. And practice makes perfect.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the post, this brings up one of my favourite quotes:
You can’t think about,
what you don’t want to think about,
without thinking about it.

Okay…. This doesn’t make sense… Since when does AWARENESS of breast cancer, or FIGHTING breast cancer, cause more cancer?
That is a dumb example.

I wholeheartedly agree.
Here’s a brief article I wrote about language use:

And I’ve often taken to heart Mother Teresa’s sentiments also, when I’m selecting a cause to support - choosing acause that is “for” something, rather than “against”.

@Mallory: Thank you for your opinion on this topic Mallory. I am only going to ask you for one thing to observe in your surrounding. Take a look at all the people that talk about diseases and being sick and see for yourself if they are experiencing health or if they are sick most of the time.
